Whats going on family! I'm so excited about what's happening in my world these days! I am totally gonna do better with blogging to keep you involved!

Today I want to talk about people who hurt you and you allow back in!  Its so important for you to put the boundaries in place for those people! Just last night I was talking to an associate that hurt me but I decided to allow back in.  I should have known when they didnt respect me when I asked them to give me some space!  People play games to shift emotional power.... I got pulled into it! 2nd time.... won't happen again!  Much love!

Present Suprises.....

Life has a way of always keeping you on your toes! Have you ever been in a situation where you are sure about so much, but equally as unsure about other things? I have be IN THAT PLACE! There are soooo many things in my life that I am sure of and feel SO good about. Yet there are other things that literally have me in the fight of my life. Recently I have been dealing with a situation that has had me tied up emotionally. This person CONSTANTLY and CONSISTANTLY misunderstands my actions and words. The CRAZY thing about it all is that I keep coming back. I want to make it right, hoping that this time they will understand. It has me in an emotional worldwind... right when I was about to just give up HERE CAME MY PRESENT SUPRISE. God has away of KICKING us out of what we are in. A friend from high school found me on facebook. I was sooo happy to reconnect and we have been speaking consistantly. There are things being said that have encouraged me. I began to see that I don't have to go down this emotional rollercoaster. There are people who care enough to understand me.... It was a reminder that I must put old things behind me and look at today as a gift.... that is why they call it the present. I feel so blessed and lucky enough to enjoy these PRESENT, daily suprises....

Rejection Healed!

Today I have being studying healing from rejection. EVERY PERSON ALIVE has been a victom of rejection or a severe womb. I want to share some steps that have helped me get over this place of hurt and move toward a brighter future for myself. Here is an article I read AND IT HELPED ME! (I put my thoughts in bold... enjoy!)

1. Acknowledge the rejection: They say awareness is the first step in any type of healing. If you don't acknowledge that the person rejected you, you can't get healed. Write it down in a journal, and be specific. Don't sugarcoat what they did, and what you did. Be honest. Its hard to sometimes admit what you have done, and what has been done to you. Don't worry about the other party. They may NEVER be able to see the part they played, but you have to be able to deal with yourself and what you have done. I focused on the root of my rejection. For me, it was a need of approval and acceptance. Some may read this and say "Kim... what? she needs acceptance, everyone loves her".... but I want you to know that I got this deep down into my thinking, and I felt I would never recover. Ok... here is a practical example consider children who ask why their parents gave them away; they see it as their fault or believe they are "defective" in some way. It does not matter how many times they are told otherwise, because the said it all with their action. This is where I was stuck. I have love ALL around me, I totally am blessed. Yet there were literally 2 people in my life so far that really COUNTED and meant everything to me and thru their actions it spoke loudly that I didn't matter or was "defective"... there was nothing I could do to make them accept me.

2. Forgive them: Don't balk at that one. It does not mean they were right. It means you are free of their power to influence you. When you hold unforgiveneness, it keeps you as their prisoner. You are actually giving them control of you. By forgiving, they become powerless. I look at this more spiritually as well. When you forgive, you accept the love and forgiveness of Christ in your life and this free's you. It is true, when you forgive that person what they think or do doesn't affect you. Even if they "reject" you, you don't have a reaction to it... you are free. I realized I wasnt 100% free when I saw my sensitivity level was still super high when it came to the responses these people gave me. Seeing this about myself has helped me move forward in freedom.

3. Seek help: Some rejections are so horrific that you might need to talk to someone about it. There is nothing wrong with having a support system. In fact, it might be helpful. I made this mistake by talking to family and friends. Sometimes this is NOT the best thing to do. You need to speak to someone who doesnt have an "invested" interested in you or even a one sided view. Its ok to talk to a counselor or someone who can help YOU get better. Don't focus the conversation on the other party, but on you!

4. Surround yourself with people who support you: This seems obvious, but we all know people who go from one bad relationship to another. They think they deserve to be mistreated, undervalued, abused, or whatever, and bring people in their life to support that view, instead of what they really want. By surrounding yourself with people who want what's best for you, you lessen the likelihood of falling into or continuing a cycle. When you are getting over rejection it is MANDATORY that you feel accepted! Make it a focus to stay around people who you know love you and will nurture you back. Especially those who really understand your heart!!! This has been huge for me and my healing process!

5. Open heart to the possibility of love When you have been hurt, it is very easy to fall into trusting the wrong people with your heart. In a sense, it is from the desire to be accepted that people do that. On the other hand, some close themselves off and built walls so strong that no one can get in. It is a misguided defense mechanism, because while trying not to be hurt, that wall also keeps out love and healing. Your heart is not a trashcan. It is to be cherished. Cherish it by being open to the possibility of love. I have trusted the wrong people AND built walls. As I move past this hurt I see me! I love and value myself... instead of building walls I just create loving boundaries! Believe you me, I am so open to love.... and I know I will have it!!

6. Trust those who prove trustworthy: Not all people are worthy of our trust, so use wisdom. But, when a person has proven themselves to be trustworthy, acknowledge that and allow them in. How do they prove it? Their actions. Words are meaningless in this case, because too many know how to say what they need to in order to get what they want. But when you see it, you know it is real. Every person is different in how they show it, but some indicators are they don't betray you; betrayal in the sense that they don't put your business out in the street, use you for their own personal gain, or treat you in a way that devalues you. This is where I have always made big mistakes. I am the type that trusts everyone... WRONG! lolol... being raised in a great enviornment I didnt have to have many "walls" up so I have always lived my life this way. Because of this I see the good in everyone... EVEN WHEN THE BAD IS MORE OBVIOUS... I am learning that trust is built. I trusted people who betrayed me. I went to them in confidence, but their loyalty was not to me, but to the other parties... I didnt use wisdom and it didn't work for my good. These same people have trusted me with information that I have not ever disclosed, but they went behind my back. Actions speak louder than words. I am learning that more and more. I will always honor someones request, especially if I gave them my word. I also see how I have betrayed those that I loved, but talking to people I trusted and when they opened their mouth, it caused those I loved to feel betrayed by me. Needless to say.... just keep everything to yourself! ;-)

7. Be willing to be healed: Again, another obvious suggestion, but also overlooked. Some people are really into their "story," or playing the "victim" that they don't want to be healed. They want to keep the pain, though they would tell you a thousand times that they don't. Well, actions speak volumes. If the first thing out of your mouth is how someone hurt you, you are stuck in your story. A drastic method might be to not tell your story for awhile. Let people get to know you. Another way of flipping from victim to victor is sharing your story when it can help someone else. By changing the way you share your story, it can empower you and heal you at the same time. I saw myself in this bigtime. I want to be healed but my hurt was always the "topic" of conversation.... I realize more that life and death are in the power of the tongue. I choose life... I choose to only speak life into the things that really matter. My healing, joy and good life are number one on the conversational priority list. I also realize that if someone doesn't "choose" me... its their loss!

Last thought, Mya Angelou said, "If someone shows you who they are believe them" I agree with this statement, but I also disagree. I believe this statement is absent of hope. Hope is a confident expectation and belief that is mixed with the power of love. Some people I believe with the right "hope" backing them will change. They will became better! I am determined to keep people around me who back me with hope.... The SKY is the limit!

I HOPE YOU ENJOYE THIS! I would love your feedback!

LIFE GOES ON!

OK... so if there is one thing that I have definitly learned in the past two months is, LIFE GOES ON!!!

Hello family!
So much has happened since my last blog entry on January 13th.... so lets get to it!

FIRST, I wanna say I MISS YOU! There are so many of you who have reached out and I am so sorry for not writing sooner, but here we go a FULL time to catch up!

2010 was such an awesome year for me!! Filled with so many ups and downs, but everything made me stronger, wiser and better. I fell in love, I got my heart crushed, I found so much joy in my job, I hated my job, my business hit an awesome place of solid structure and I lost my 2 rocks.... BUT LIFE WENT ON!

2011 I have had 2 additions to our family Lyric and Riley, I had an AWESOME concert in Anniston "I'm Coming Home" and it was UNBELIEVABLE!

Video streaming by Ustream

I have a recording studio (STUDIO ON 5 email studio5@skyenterprises.org) and most of all I HAVE FOUND MYSELF!

LIFE WENT ON!

Family there were some of the darkest moments of my life during this time. Some days not knowing if my heart was gonna let me get out of bed, but LIFE WENT ON! I can honestly say I am happy. One of the weirdest things is there were people that seemed to be WAITING on an opportunity to come into my life.... I'm so open to what lies ahead for me! I'm definitly on the road to happy!!!

LIFE GOES ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One day at a time.....

I used to hear people use the phrase "One day at a time" all the time, and never really knew what they meant. Now I totally do... with the different experiences that I have had in my life, there are things that I just never understood. As a cancer survivor I have now realized that ANYONE that I love, I want them to know. Am I a sap, Yes! Does that translate as weakness at times, YES! I DON'T CARE! What I do care about is WHO needs to know.

I'm in a place where I just have to take it all one day at a time. Make thru each day living it to the ultimate fullest. I am really trying!! I want to encourage each one of you to just take each day one day at a time and enjoy it! I know I am!

I am complete in Him....

ok.... so I have been feeling extra "lost" lately. This morning I woke up and asked God, "WHERE AM I???" I mean, I know where He is..lol, but where am I? I have felt like I was knocked off my rocker and I am MADE to just be ok. Well, after simply asking God this question he gently answered me by saying "you are in Me and I am in you. You are complete in me, and I love you." Those words were WATER to my soul. I needed to hear that! I needed to feel that, I needed to soak in those words. I feel so complete. Here is a song I hope you enjoy.... I really do! Be encouraged and know you are loved! (listen to the whole thing)

Life Lessons..... It all works together

Hello Family...

What a week I have had. Just know that my life is not the same! The scripture says in Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Just know this is a scripture I am STANDING FIRMLY on right now. I put my heart into something I really believed in and I literally found myself in the street. Did I make the right choice? Was I wrong about this? What can I change about myself? These were all the questions I was asking myself... but God encouraged me through a friend of mine, Venita Houston, to simply trust God. He knows.... just let go and trust Him. Below you will find what I read that pushed me to peace in the midst of this storm. I can truly say I am at peace. I trust God and I move forward with a heart open to see what he is doing next. Hope you enjoy!

TRUST IN THE LORD

December 27, 2010

TRUST according to the World Encarta Dictionary has some awesome meanings: Listen to these. 1) Reliance. 2) Care. 3) Something in which confidence is placed. 5) Hope for the future. Just think about these definitions. We can with confidence, rely on Christ to care for us and know that he is our hope for the future.

So in the coming new year, when it appears that I can’t count on folk to have my back as I would hope they would, I am going to TRUST with confidence that I can rely on Christ to always be right there to see me through. I am also going to TRUST that when I don’t come through for others as they expect, they will know and TRUST with confidence that they too can rely on Christ. Let’s be honest, we let one another down more than we want to admit. Sometimes intentionally, other times unintentionally but it happens none the less.

All of us have different needs but we have to TRUST with confidence that God is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. Therefore he is big enough, large and in charge enough to be available, to be in right relationship with each of us, all at the same time. With God, my needs are no greater than your needs. No one can meet us at the point of our need better than he can. After all, he made us and knows us better than we know ourselves. We must TRUST with confidence that we can and should rely on him. He wants us to!!

In the coming New Year, when folk seem to be unfeeling or uncaring, I am going to TRUST with confidence that CHRIST always cares about everything that is going on with me. I am going to TRUST with confidence when situations come up that I don’t understand and can’t even begin to make sense of, know that I can rely on the word found in Romans 8: 28 that says: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

I am going to TRUST with confidence that his purpose for my life is far greater and far more meaningful than the purpose I see for myself with my limited vision. I am going to TRUST with confidence that I can rely on him to place a person or persons in my life that will enhance and further my purpose for him. I am going to TRUST with confidence that he will place a person or persons in my life that will encourage me to remember to always walk in his will and in his way. And if it should happen that a person or person’s walks away that I feel are essential to my well being, to my future even, I am going to rely on the fact that God holds the key to my future, not an individual. I am going to TRUST with confidence and rely on the fact that God loves me unconditionally. Truth is, the very person or persons we deem essential may be the very person or persons that are hindering us from being all we can be in Christ Jesus.

Here are several scripture from the book of Psalm regarding TRUST.

Psalm 9: 10 says: Those who know your name will trust in you, for you Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.

Psalm 22: 4 & 5 says: In you our fathers put their trust; they trusted and you delivered them. They cried to you and were saved; in you they trusted and were not disappointed.

Psalm 32: 10 says: Many are the woes of the wicked, but the Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him.

I believe the bottom line for us as believers is that we should TRUST with confidence that we can rely on Christ in every aspect of our lives. We should TRUST him for all things, not just some things. I’d like to believe we can TRUST with confidence as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego did that even when thrown in the fiery furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it.

In the coming year, let’s TRUST anew. Let’s not resist. Let’s be obedient. Let’s allow God to work on our behalf. Let’s remember God’s blessed assurances and walk in our purpose on purpose. Let’s continue to love one another. And when everything becomes too much, let’s remember to TRUST in the Lord.

It's not what you say, but it's what you do"

These last few weeks have been very tough. I'm learning more and more that your actions define you more than your words or even your feelings. It's all about what you do. This has been hard because it causes me to have to not only EXAMINE my walk more closely, but it FORCES me to believe what I see. OH LAWD HELP ME! Call me crazy, but it hurts to believe what I see all the time. I see people say " I love you" but they never show it. I would rather believe that they love me, lol.

I must reposition myself. I most honestly say the only hope that I find is in Jesus. Knowing that God has made a way for me makes me feel so secure.

I commit to doing better.

Martina McBride - Anyway

Enjoy!

New Journey... Timing is everything.

Ecclesiastes 3 tells us that TIMING is everything:

1 There is a time for everything,

and a season for every activity under the heavens:

2 a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3 a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,

a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,

6 a time to search and a time to give up,

a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7 a time to tear and a time to mend,

a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8 a time to love and a time to hate,

a time for war and a time for peace.

9 What do workers gain from their toil? 10 I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet[a] no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. 12 I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. 13 That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God. 14 I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him.

There are a few things that stuck out to me in this scripture....

11 He has made everything beautiful in its time.

Right here I can CERTAINLY see myself and the anxiousness in my heart. I want things when I want it! I have truly suffered for it. We should take the time to enjoy the moments of space that God inserts in our life. Space and time are Good! (I'm talking to myself)

Today I am asking God to help me to see timing. To be patient and allow life to work things out for me.

I have found myself in a place of emptiness because I am RUSHING things that need to take time! Because of this my heart has grown heavy and I just don't want to help anyone, do anything or even pray for anyone..... sad right! Well, after I took a moment to review me the song "Anyway" by Martina McBride was brought to my memory. I thank God for it. Enjoy these lyrics and I hope you are just as encouraged as I was!

Anyway

You can spend your whole life building

Something from nothin'

One storm can come and blow it all away

Build it anyway

You can chase a dream that seems so out of reach

And you know it might not ever come your way

Dream it anyway

God is great, but sometimes life ain't good

When I pray it doesn't always turn out like I think it should

But I do it anyway

I do it anyway

This world's gone crazy and it's hard to believe

That tomorrow will be better than today

Believe it anyway

You can love someone with all your heart

For all the right reasons

In a moment they can choose to walk away

Love 'em anyway

God is great, but sometimes life ain't good

When I pray it doesn't always turn out like I think it should

But I do it anyway

Yeah, I do it anyway

You can pour your soul out singing a song you believe in

That tomorrow they'll forget you ever sang

Sing it anyway

Yeah, sing it anyway

I sing, I dream

I love

Anyway
